How can I protect my funds from loss?

Upon creating a new wallet or importing one, Guarda makes every user save a backup file. It contains encryption of all the private keys and assets on a given Guarda wallet. Without it, accessing the wallet is impossible.

Our team strongly encourages you to keep your private keys, backup file, and password in secure places separate from one another. Make sure that you never share access with anybody.

!Please bear in mind that if you lose your backup or password, Guarda would not be able to help you restore access to your wallet!

If you are extra serious about the safety of your funds, we recommend using hardware wallets.
