How to create a Guarda wallet?
Creating a new wallet with Guarda is a quick and simple process.
First, go to Guarda.com and click on the "Launch app" button.
You will be taken to the log-in screen at Guarda.co/app. Click Create a new wallet, and you will be prompted to choose your password. Come up with a complex and secure password that you would be able to remember. It will serve to encrypt your wallet and all of the private keys within.
It is vitally important to store your password in a safe location — if you lose it, Guarda will not be able to help you recover it. As a non-custodial service, Guarda does not keep any private information that belongs to our customers, backup and passwords included.
Once you've entered your password and ensured that it is safe, select "I've written it down". You might have to wait for a few seconds while your wallets are being created. Afterwards, you will be prompted to download your backup file.
Please pay attention to the text of the pop-up — it is incredibly important that you do not lose your backup. It contains encryption* of all of the private keys within your wallet. Without it, you will not be able to access your wallet and your funds. Keep it in a secure space and never share it with anyone.
Once you've downloaded your backup, the creation process is over. Welcome to your new wallet! Now you can easily manage all of your funds.
