How to send tokens

Guarda Wallet supports many currencies, including tokens. We support all ERC-20 tokens, as well as TRC-20 and TRC-10 tokens, BNB (BEP-2) tokens, Waves, and NEO tokens.

You can send tokens from your address to any address on the same network. Before sending, make sure that you have enough funds to pay the network commission. Since tokens do not have their own network and are distributed in a network of a different currency (for example, ERC-20 tokens are distributed in the Ethereum network), the network commission is paid in the main currency. Therefore, it is important to buy the main currency first.

However, there are some blockchains with additional tokens, created for the network commission. As you can see below, on the NEO network the fee is paid in GAS — tokens designed specifically for fees. Same, on the Ontology network, the fee is paid in ONG tokens.

There are a few things you need to know before using HBAR tokens:
Before you receive a token, you need to add it to your HBAR wallet, if you don't do that, the transaction will fail.
If you want to send someone an HBAR token, the recipient needs to add it first, otherwise, the transaction will fail and you will be charged the network fee for that transaction.

Here is a list of the protocols we support and the matching network fee currency:

Tokens Network fee
ETH tokens (ERC-20) ETH
Tron tokens (TRC-20) TRX
Tron tokens (TRC-10) Bandwidth
BNB tokens (BEP-2) BNB
Waves tokens Waves
Neo tokens (NEP-5) GAS
BSC tokens(BEP-20) BSC
HBAR tokens HBAR
XDC tokens(XDC-20) XDC
ETH tokens (ERC-721) ETH
