Data recording error. What is it?

As you know, Guarda wallet is a non-custodial service, which means we do not store your data on our side in any way. While you're working with the wallet, the data is stored in a special protected section of the browser — this allows the service to display information quickly. Unfortunately, there are some browser errors that can affect writing new data to the backup. The issue can happen, for example, if the browser has a limited memory size in the settings, or if the wallet is very large, or there are a lot of transactions. The only way, for now, is to  save your backup file manually to prevent any data losses.

This is why you see a pop-up notification when the service notices any errors:

This notification can't be closed, because we want to be sure you've saved your backup, so even your browser errors cannot cause any fund losses. After you save the new backup version, you can use your wallet safely.

Don't forget to save your backup every time you import or add any new address!

We do our best to prevent any inconveniences and make your Guarda Wallet experience as smooth as possible.
